Sustainable Mechanical Design Associates (SMDA) was founded in 2008 to provide mechanical engineering services to the construction industry.
Our mission is to provide comprehensive, technically sound engineering services to our client base using current technology and best practices. As a firm we believe strongly in energy efficiency in mechanical, electrical and plumbing design and strive to provide the most efficient and cost effective solutions while promoting sustainable design practices. In the United States more than 30% of our total energy usage is consumed by building's. Current technologies in HVAC, lighting and domestic water heating design provide significant opportunities to reduce our usage and dependance on carbon based fuel sources
Through partnerships with electrical engineering consultants which have similar beliefs and standards we are able to provide a complete MEP package to meet your engineering design needs. Also through our commissioning services and our energy analysis capabilities we are able to reduce energy consumption and operating costs for both new and existing facilities.
