Sustainable Mechanical Design Associates specializes in mechanical engineering consulting services for the built environment. Founded by Robert Gengelbach, PE LEED AP in 2008, SMDA’s desire is to bring energy efficiency and sustainability to the forefront in building design, and to incorporate current state of the art practices into all of our services.
BUILDING MECHANICAL DESIGN
It is our belief that engineering components should enhance the architecture of a building and that the MEP systems serving the building need to evolve synchronous with the design of the building providing the required functionality while being sensitive to the building aesthetics. SMDA designs mechanical systems that are innovative, responsive to architectural goals and clients’ project requirements, while always being cognizant of energy efficiency and serviceability.
